Description

One pair of speed skates, black with yellow laces and 14 sets of lace eyelets. Reinforcing stitching in ankle area of boot, steel reinforced ankle in boot. Steel plates on bottom, inscription repeated and perhaps size 10.
Skate guards hand stitched closed at one end, other end is open. Leather strap with dome fastener that crosses over blade near front. String reinforced with rubber crosses over back of guard held on by staples.

The rest of the woman in the photograph are unknown. In the 1932 Olympics, Lela Brooks won all her heats but only managed to place fourth.
