Description

Eight sided medal, with a raised figure in speed skating pose. Two circular rings are attached at the top which are probably meant to be attached with a ribbon or chain. Inscription across bottom: "ONTARIO SPEED SKATING ASSN OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP". Engraving on back: "1925 SENIOR LADIES 3/4 MILE".

In the middle of the medal is an upside down raised black triangle, with yellow lettering insignia of the Toronto S.S.C. This triangle is surrounded by leaves. A blank banner runs above the triangle. S.S.C. probably stands for Toronto Speed Skating Championship. The back is inscribed:
One pair of speed skates, black with yellow laces and 14 sets of lace eyelets. Reinforcing stitching in ankle area of boot, steel reinforced ankle in boot. Steel plates on bottom, inscription repeated and perhaps size 10. Skate guards hand stitched closed at one end, other end is open. Leather strap with dome fastener that crosses over blade near front. String reinforced with rubber crosses over back of guard held on by staples.
