Description

Eight sided silver coloured medal. A raised figure of a speed skater is on the front in action, on the upper half. US insignia in center right side. Scroll design around front inscription. There are two circle rings at the top. Inscription across the front: "CHICAGO DAILY NEWS 1934 WESTERN OPEN INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP". Engraving on back: "2ND CLASS A 440 YD WOMEN".
