Description

This black and white photograph of a drawing shows an image of a rowing race. Rower Ned Hanlan and American rower Charles Courtney are racing on the water as spectators look on from boats. Various ships and building can be seen in the background. A drawing of Courtney can be seen in an inset at the top of the image. The caption underneath this inset reads: "COURTNEY GIVES OUT."
