Induction Process

Each year Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame inducts a new class of athletes and builders whose stories of dedication, heartbreak, grace, triumph and glory, have inspired Canadians of all ages.

New inductees become Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame Honoured Members in one of two categories; for outstanding athletic achievements as an individual or a team in the Athlete category, or for outstanding contribution to Canadian sport as a leader, administrator, official, coach, business leader, and media or in other roles in the Builder category.
