NOMINATION DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL JANUARY 31, 2012.
Every year a new class of great Canadian sport heroes is inducted into Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame – joining more than 500 national sport legends in becoming Honoured Members.
Honoured Members are inducted in one of two categories; for outstanding athletic achievements as an individual or a team in the Athlete category, or for outstanding contribution to Canadian sport as a leader, administrator, official, coach, business leader, and media or in other roles in the Builder category.
You Can Nominate! All Canadians are invited to help select the very best athletes and builders of Canadian sport in our annual nomination process. Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame’s 2012 Selection Committee, along with all Canadians, can nominate Athletes and Builders by reviewing the Eligibility for Election (CSHoF Bylaws Section 9), completing a nomination form, and mailing, faxing or emailing before midnight January 31, 2012 to;

Selection Committee Each nomination is reviewed by the CSHoF Selection Committee and the newest class of inductees will be voted on and recommended to Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame’s Board of Governors. The process of selecting each class of inductees is very extensive and follows guidelines established by Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame’s Board of Governors.
Induction Ceremony The new class of inductees is announced in the spring and the Induction Dinner and ceremony take place in a Canadian city in the fall.
