CALGARY, Alberta — As Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame marks its 70th year of the Order of Sport, the organization is pleased to welcome three distinguished leaders to its Board of Governors, further expanding the breadth of experience and expertise guiding the organization: Sue Riddell Rose, Greg Hicks, and Sean Gilbert.
Bringing together accomplished leaders from across Canada’s energy, retail, and financial sectors, these appointments reflect a shared belief in the power of sport to inspire excellence, strengthen communities, and shape the next generation of Canadians.

Together, they join Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame at a pivotal moment as the organization builds momentum toward the 70th Order of Sport Awards: Legacy Edition this November, presented by Everest Funeral Concierge and funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Museum Assistance Program. This national celebration will recognize the leaders, trailblazers, and community builders who changed the game and continue to shape the future of sport in Canada.
As Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame enters its next chapter, the organization looks forward to the contributions of its newest governors as they join an influential Board of Governors composed of leaders from across business, sport, philanthropy, and community sectors. Together, the Board helps guide the organization’s strategic direction and supports its mission to celebrate the Canadians who have shaped our sporting story, inspire future generations, and ensure the power of sport continues to unite and strengthen communities from coast to coast to coast.
